Since the advent of hybrid woods/irons I have been looking forward to a manufacturer producing a set of real progressive
hybrid irons. Hey presto, Cleveland have done it, and what a job they have done. Pw, 9 & 8 look like an oversize iron. Then the
back end starts to look as wide as the face is deep, though this falls into complete insignificance.
After the first shot flies high and true, with fantastic feedback from grip, shaft and head, I could not contain myself from hitting ball after ball after ball.
For anybody who struggles to hit mid-low irons, these really are worth trying out. One of my pupils has been looking for a new set of irons for a couple of months. As he walked through the shop door the set of HiBore's followed him in. He was pitching his seven iron around the 100-110yd marker so, with a big smile on my face, I handed him a HiBore 7 iron. 135 yards, I jest with you not. 20-25yds longer, high flight, true flight. The clubs were not out of the box 30 minutes, SOLD!
The truth is in the tasting, but my recommended iron of the month is the Cleveland HiBore.
